DESCRIPTION:Gabriela Ocejo is a Agentinian-Canadian guitarist\, vocalist\, and songwriter. She blends the classic sounds of jazz and motown with modern indie-r&b. A voice reminiscent of Billie Holiday and Peggy Lee paired with guitar riffs that jangle with drunken romance\, Gabriela’s essence is a timeless quality expressed through her songs. She has played with numerous musical outfits as lead guitarist and vocalist. . Some of her bands include Super Duty Tough Work\, Juvel and Sunny Rosaland. \nHer debut album ‘Jonny’ is set for release in the autumn of 2020. The lyrics on the record blend heart wrenching truths of a self-realized hopeless romantic with charming tongue-in-cheek cynicism. Her incredible band\, that consists of Ashley Au (Bass)\,)\, and Kevin Waters (Drums)\,- both from Super Duty Tough Work- and  Holly Ruth (Keys)\, echoes modern icons like Erikah Badu\, Mac Demarco\, and Steve Lacy\, but still has some old early jazz elements and a hint of her southamerican influence. Gabi brings an element of vintage glamour to the project and unmatched passion for performing music.
